The Nick Scholarship
Beginning in 2021, the NRCF will award at least one scholarship each year. Please see the Google forms below for complete application and supporting documentation. Applications will be reviewed by the scholarship selection committee after the deadline of February 28, 2026.
2026 Scholarship application period has closed. No applications accepted after February 28, 2026.
A high school senior graduating in the same year as the date of the award and planning to attend a U.S. college, university or trade school in the fall of the same year.
- Demonstrate good character through at least three of the following characteristics:
- leadership (school, home and/or community activities);
- a concern for others (through contributions to volunteer projects, church and/or family needs);
- work ethic (responsibility, initiative and skill-building through paid or unpaid work experiences);
- athleticism (participation in school, club or documented recreational sports);
- excellence in visual or performance arts
If the graduating student meets the academic and at least three of the above requirements, then they may submit an application by the submission deadline of February 28, 2026. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Application components consist of:
- All required questions on the application form including contact info, school information (current and future), and familial information;
- Documentation to demonstrate the above character traits for which they qualify;
- A letter of recommendation from an educational source (teacher, professor, counselor);
- A letter of recommendation from another source (someone who knows the student well in a civic or personal capacity, i.e., coach, boss, mentor, non-family member).
All applications must be submitted in complete form (application, transcripts, letter of reference, etc.) at ONE TIME. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

2025 Scholarship Recipients
For the Class of 2025 we awarded four scholarships.
The Foundation Scholarship Committee, which is compromised of non-family members, enjoyed reviewing each of the applications and spent a significant amount doing so. Determining the recipient is a difficult decision and is based upon many factors. . This year, the Committee chose four recipients. The 2025 Scholarship winners are:
In 2025, we were honored to have over 30 applicants from eight high schools across the entire tri-state region for the Nick Scholarship. We awarded four scholarships in total. The winners are:

Kylie Anderson – Oak Hills High School
Thank you, Anna, Noah, Sadie, and Kylie, for helping us remember Nick. Good luck and best wishes on your incredible futures! You each are impressive and truly demonstrate the qualities our Foundation looks for when awarding the Nick Scholarship. We can’t wait to see you continue to “do something good” for the world!
